The IX Edition of the Best Practices Award ended on Friday June 12th, after two very interesting and 
busy days held at the wonderful home of Teatro Ghirelli in Salerno.
The Award involved Companies operating in manufacturing and services, that have implemented an 
innovative project and which stand out for the quality of their product-process. As part of the Award 
there has been a Section called uPsTart `Paolo Traci` dedicated to young entrepreneurs and start-ups, 
among which we participated with LEANFA. 
In all there were 47 Companies and 59 start-ups representing business sectors as Green Economy, ICT, 
process and product innovations, web and social media, tourism, health and welfare.
LEANFA is honoured to have been awarded the prestigious Special Mention of the Technical Committee 
with the KOPERNICOOK project, an innovative system that uses radiofrequency and microwave 
electromagnetic fields in industrial processes for cooking, transformation, pasteurization and 
sterilization of food, safeguarding its organoleptic properties and significantly increasing its shelf 
life.
LEANFA’s team wants to thank all friends for the valuable support during the online vote (ranked 
third) and for the encouragement that for us has been a huge value.
Similarly, the award received by the Technical Committee has filled us with energy that we are 
entirely using for our project in order to implement it quickly and to offer it to an international 
market that seems very promising.
